Becoming a Mom® Prenatal Education Classes

Provided by the Maternal Child Health staff at Saline County Health Department, this program is designed to impart evidence-based knowledge on a wide range of prenatal and postpartum topics. Two versatile learning modalities of in person or virtual presentation are available for your convenience. We've gathered community experts in their fields to help us provide you with six, free to the participant classes that cover early pregnancy through care of the newborn. Classes are open to all Saline County residents and anyone who does not have access to a home county Becoming a Mom® program. Early Childhood Screening Clinic

Central Kansas Cooperative In Education holds their early childhood screening clinics for children in Saline, Ottawa and Ellsworth Counties. They will screen children in areas of hearing, seeing, talking, thinking, moving and playing. Children from birth to five years of age and children from ages 3-5 are screened. Screenings are also available in Abilene, Chapman, White City, Hope, Solomon and Herington. Click here to learn more and find the screening dates.

Diabetes Support Group

Having diabetes is not easy, but you are not alone. The Pharmacy department will hold a diabetes support group on the third Tuesday of every month in Conference Room 7 at Salina Regional Health Center. The speaker will change every month. You do not need to register.

Time: 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Third Tuesday of the month)
